Davina McCall dedicated her Mother’s Day post to her step mom as she also reflected on her difficult childhood and ‘f***ed up’ relationship with her birth mom.
The presenter, 55, shared a sweet snap of her mom Gabby with her dad where she said she was so grateful for her ‘unwavering love’.
She also bluntly addressed her “ridiculous, messy, hilarious, loving, obnoxious relationship” with her birth motherlorence where she said “amazing mommy personalities come in many forms”.
Davina has been open about her difficult relationship with her late, alcoholic mother who abandoned her when she was a child – previously revealing that they took drugs together when they were just 12.
In her post, she wrote, “Happy Mother’s Day to my step mom Gabby. I say she’s my wife because wonderful mommy personalities come in so many forms.

I had a crazy, funny, messy, funny, loving, hateful relationship with my mother (if you call myhorridparent follow up) and Gabe was my rock.

It comes after Davina – who has been open about her addiction – revealed in January that she started using drugs with her mother when she was just 12.
“I did drugs at 12, smoked weed at 12, drank alcohol with my mother at 15 twice, and coke with my sister at 14,” she said.
“But I am not a victim but I am happy, I chose to learn after the curve balls. The small wins in my life have been huge.
The star previously recalled the complicated relationship she had with her alcoholic motherlorence, adding that she started partying as a teenager because she didn’t have any motherly figure to turn to.

Complicated: It comes after Davina – who has been open about her addiction – revealed she started using drugs with her mother when she was just 12 in January.
Davina said she fell into drug addiction, which at its worst resulted in her hospitalization.
“It was very scary because it was a very gradual overdose,” she said in 2020. I took a cocktail of drugs, because I didn’t want to feel normal, I was constantly trying to escape from myself – I was like a piece of fruit rotting inside.
Then I thought, “Okay, I’ll just take the Valium,” and the next thing I knew I woke up in the hospital. At my lowest point, when I was filled with self-loathing, it was a “cleanse, or die” state.
Davina added that it was her best friend, her father, and her stepmother who helped her gain synesthesia, and she enrolled in Narcotics Anonymous.
Within a year of the overdose, Davina was drug-free, and the star said she still occasionally attends meetings and therapy sessions to keep her on track.
After a difficult relationship with her mother, Davina admitted that she sought fame at a young age to fill the void left in the absence of her mother’s love.
The Big Brother presenter added that even after 37 rejection letters from television companies, she strived to continue working.
Davina has been open about her struggles with drug addiction, and in March 2018 she recalled the moment she told her three children about her past.
Speaking on the Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast she said: ‘I’ve had to be very honest about my past with babies – especially now that they have access to the internet.
In fact, I had to be brutally honest pretty early on when I thought other kids might talk to them about it. They grew up with “Mama’s Going to a Meeting” – they didn’t know it was an NA meeting.

They were all really very receptive. They’d say, ‘We thought it was something like that. Is that why you don’t drink? “
Since quitting drug use at the age of 25, Davina has also stopped smoking and drinking, and has inspired others with an amazing fitness regimen.
The star was also dating hairstylist Michael Douglas, after separating from husband Matthew Robertson in 2017.
