Joe McElderry looked very different from his days on The Xactor when he headed out on a private yacht in Barbados with his friends onriday.
The singer, 31, starred on the show when he was just 18 years old in 2009, beating out Stacy Solomon and Olly Morse.
And 14 years later, Joe looked the world away as the baby-faced teen who won the competition with his performance of Miley Cyrus’ The Climb.
The TV star got a little better when she showed off her shirtless frame in a khaki Hawaiian shirt and shorts by Calvin Klein.
But after several days in the sunlight, Joe looked a little sunny on his chest and shoulders.

Partially pulling his shirt off, the singer later made an attempt to protect himself from the sun and donned a pair of black shades.
Joe seemed to be living the life as he was enjoying a trip on the island with his buddies while enjoying the stunning scenery.

It comes after Joe caught another glimpse of his lavish lifestyle on Instagram on Thursday when he was hitting the beach in Barbados.
The stage star is the latest celebrity face to take a vacation on the Caribbean island and she’s a favorite of a whole host of celebrities, including music mogul Simon Cowell.
Joe joked that he got a little sunburned while relaxing with a cocktail in hand after hitting the beach.
In one photo, the singer appeared shirtless in a pair of black chalkboard shorts after swimming in the ocean.
He wrote: Back to my favorite place! Barbados, before adding in another take: “Yeah I sunburn! I never learn!” But Rum Punch helps.

Joe documented his journey in a video montage, with clips from the trip, enjoying coffee on the porch and walking on the beach.
“Looks great,” one fan wrote, while another added: “Have a great time, Barbados looks beautiful.”
A third follower chiming in wrote: “Joe is so jealous, it’s so beautiful scenery and the ocean is so warm.”
The singer has worked hard to lose weight after donning a fuller frame during an appearance on ITV’s daytime show, Lorraine, in 2015.
Two years later, he sported an athletic physique as he took to the stage shirtless during a performance of Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat.
The singer trained with former Miss Universe finalist Caroline Dixon and followed a strict diet.
Previously speaking in an interview with Wonderful magazineHe said, “Most of the things we do are killer, but in a weird way that I really enjoy.
I’m a really active person and have done many charity bike rides.
“It’s a huge part of my life and I think it’s a necessary part of my life for my stamina when I’m on stage.”
Joe also remembered his time on the show that catapulted him to fame.
He said, “Every time I see that clip, I feel so old, and I look so young there!” , He said.
