A cold front passed through the area last night, ushering in breezy conditions and cooler air today. However, the temperatures will be seasonal and in fact, the numbers are still higher than normal this morning. Look for highs near 50 today as the sun sets in to begin followed by more clouds in the afternoon.
A minor cold front will cross tonight, with possible snow showers and storms to the west of the area. Some showers or light snow showers could reach our western counties but most activity will be confined to higher elevations. The bigger story will be the cold that will be followed by temperatures dropping into the 20s tonight. The winds will also get stronger with gusts over 30 mph overnight… allowing wind chills to snag on teens by first thing Sunday morning. Sunday peak won’t hit 40 in most locations…with wind chill in the 20s most of the day. to gather!
Spring officially arrives Monday and boy will it feel like it for most of next week. Several days with highs in the 50’s to nearly 60’s, along with plentiful sunshine. The morning will still be cool into Tuesday but the lows will also bounce back eventually. Some rain will arrive late in the week, but milder days will also come with it, with highs in the low 60s on Thursday andriday.
