PENN TOWNSHIP, LANCASTER COUNTY, PA (WHTM) — A woman was involved in an accident that collided with a utility pole, blocking a road in Lancaster County onriday, March 17.
According to the Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department, the offices responded to an accident that occurred at the 1500 block of Lancaster Road at approximately 12:30 p.m. Police say the driver reported that she fell asleep at the wheel and hit the utility pole.
The pole fell across the road after impact, causing the road to be closed for several hours as crews made the necessary repairs.
Only minor injuries were reported due to the accident.
