The ‘Joy Ride’ trailer brings cute Asian stars together for a hilarious Romp
Get ready for a wild one Joy Ride!
The first trailer for the upcoming comedy Joy Ridestarring some of our favorite actors and comedians!
Stars Ashley Park and Academy Award nominee Stephanie Hsu (Everything everywhere at once), bisexual comedian Cherry Cola (Good problem), and non-binary comedian Sabrina Wu.
When Audrey (Park)’s business trip to Asia goes sideways, she enlists the help of Lulu (Cola), her disrespectful childhood best friend who also happens to be a bit of a mess; Kat (Hsu), her college friend turned Chinese soap star and Deadeye (Woo), Lulu’s eccentric cousin,” reads the movie description. The trailer begins with two very different families (one white, one Asian) who have one thing in common: Chinese American daughters. But the two daughters soon become friends after a bully in the playground insults their race and one of them punches him right in the face. It’s best friends at first sight.
From there, things go hilariously off the rails for two best friends, Audrey and Lulu.
It appears that much of the movie will follow the friends, and a few other extras, as they search for Audrey’s mother in China.
While we’re there, we see the friends shoving drugs up their vaginas and bums, having wild sex, dressing like K-pop stars, and dealing with all sorts of shenanigans.

The film stars Ronnie Ching, Desmond Chiam, Alexander Hodge, and Chris Pang. It comes from first-time director Adele Lim, who co-wrote both Crazy Rich Asians And Raya and the last dragon.
Joyride It makes its world premiere today at SXSW and hits theaters everywhere July 7.
