Gnarly’s ‘Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’ trailer has been revealed at Nintendo Direct
The Legend of Zelda: Kingdom’s Tearsthe next sequel to Breath of the WildShe’s got some big shoes to fill. Its predecessor is undoubtedly one of the most popular video games of all time. At today’s Nintendo Direct, we got a new glimpse of what we can expect from Tears of the Kingdom, and it’s one of the most Video games expected for 2023.
Aside from visions of Link traversing a blight-infested Hyrule, the trailer gives us a glimpse of the new gameplay elements Tears of the Kingdom will offer. We see Link grinding on the railing, craft a Thanos-style power gauntlet, and operate some kind of Hyrule vehicle. As the box art indicates, Kingdom Tears will incorporate sky exploration, something hinted at in the trailer with Link flying in a hot air balloon at one point, and on a drone later.
Kingdom Tears pre-orders open Wednesday. Along with the new offering, Nintendo also revealed a new Link Amiibo, as well as Collector’s Edition gifts.
Tears of the Kingdom is set to release for the Nintendo Switch on May 12th. It’s already been delayed once, and pushed back from its 2022 initial release window, so ol’ fingers crossed for the May 12 date.
