One dead after a deadly fire in York County

YORK COUNTY, Pennsylvania (WHTM) — Early Monday morning, theairview Townshipire Department responded to a deadly fire in a home off Thorley Road in York County.

According to crews, after being dispatched at 1:15 am, crews arrived on the scene to find the two-story home completely engulfed in flames with a person trapped inside.

According toairview Townshipire Chief Hawkins, it took 45 minutes to bring the fire under control. Because of the rural area, fire tanks had to be sent out to help.

Hawkins stated that crews were unable to enter the house due to the intensity of the fire.

The York County physician was on the scene and the Pennsylvania State Police marshal is investigating the deadly fire.
