A man has been charged with three counts of theft in St Helens.

Between November and December 2022, Merseyside Police received three reports of theft across newsagents and supermarkets in St Helens.

Reports came from McColls onleet Lane and two reports from Morrisons on Sutton Park Drive.

After an investigation, the police arrested and charged a man they believed committed the three crimes.

Lee Kermode, 45, of no fixed residence, was charged with three counts of theft.

He appeared at Wirral Magistrates Court on Wednesday 25 January when he was released on conditional bail to appear at Sefton Magistrates Court in April.
