Lancaster School District hosts an academic competition for students
LANCASTER, PA (WHTM) — The Conestoga Valley School District has welcomed more than 200 students in grades six through twelve from Lancaster, Lebanon, and Berks counties.
Was there in Lancaster County for the Tech Students League Regional Conference on Saturday. Students compete in STEM events.
“They compete in a whole host of hands-on events, solving problems, working their hands on a solution on site. They built early structures that are now being destructively tested on site. They make CO2 cars, do programming on site, but they also do events.” Leadership style, public speaking, giving instant on-site information about technology, and they have to talk about it, write a speech in 15 minutes, and give it to conference director Chris Miller.
The winners of the Saturday events qualified for the April State Convention in Champion, Pennsylvania.
