Every winner of the ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ reading challenge

Mama Ru is known for making regular references to the legendary documentary Paris is burning in her reality series RuPaul’s Drag Race. The concept of “reading” within the LGBTQ+ community was captured and explained in the documentary, prompting Rowe to always refer back to Paris is burning When submitting a reading challenge in drag race.

Over the years, the reading challenge has become a recurring part of each season. It is by far the most famous mini challenge drag race, some contestants even consider it as important and memorable as winning a major challenge. As such, it’s super fun to look back and see which queens won the Reading Challenge in their respective seasons.

For the sake of this list, it’s worth noting that the queens of season 12 filmed a reading challenge that was omitted from the final edit. Thus, Season 12’s Reading Challenge was not included in this list since it never aired.
