Noah Schnapp says Will Byers Weird things The story was “beautifully written”

Will Byers was a fan favorite on the hit Netflix series Weird things Since he got stuck in the Upside Down in Season 1. As we move into last year’s fourth season, the focus is more on his sexuality and self-discovery in reference to his feelings for his best friend, Mike Wheeler.

Noah Schnapp, the actor behind the character, has also caused quite a stir in the news since he appeared publicly on TikTok a few weeks ago. While promoting their vegan hazelnut cocoa, TBH, Schnapp sat down us weekly to think of woe Weird things trip so far.

“I think it’s beautifully written,” he said. “They did [The Duffer Brothers] He had this vision for a long time, which you can tell even from season one how they wrote it with his character and how he was bullied and how he was called a djinn and all the way from season one until now. They’ve had this kind of story in the works and I think their vision works really well.”

An emotional scene between Will and Mike breaks everyone’s hearts when Will shows Mike the painting he made of him as a knight in armor made of a heart design. Although he said Eleven made him do it, the scene became a catalyst for understanding Will’s character on a deeper level.

“I think the Mike and Will story is definitely one where fans kind of have a love-hate relationship that they wish for a happy ending, but who knows what’s going to happen there,” Schnapp said. “And I just think about season five, we all hope that Will will kind of fully embrace who he is and that we can see that. And I think that’s the most important thing, at least for me.”

Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike on the show, said that the Duffer brothers “were trying to make every character have their perfect ending”.

Season 5 will be the final season of Weird thingsilming is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2023.
