ABC’s Breakfast counted 155,000, with 102,000 for ABC and 53,000 for ABC News.

The slight overshoot in the ratings race may be due to Nine increasing its coverage of the Australian Open, which is currently being held in Melbourne.

Another possibility could come from the aftermath of Noosa’s altercation with Today’s host Michael Clarke Karl Stefanovic, as Stefanovic has yet to release an official statement on the matter.

The story was reported by Channel Seven, almost all Australian news websites and even a few international outlets, including the New York Post.

According to TV Blackbox, Today was crowned Monday's ratings leaders with a total audience of 193,000 viewers. Meanwhile, sunrise wasn't too far away, at 192,000

Channel Nine only acknowledged the brawl after Clarke and his partner were fined on Saturday.

Stefanovic, 48, was forced to intervene in a heated dispute between the former Australian cricket captain and Jed Yarbrough at a public park in Noosa.

Wild footage leaked on Wednesday of a heated exchange between Clarke and his girlfriend, in which Yarbrough accused the former cricketer, 41, of sleeping with ex-wife Babe Edwards behind her back on Dec. 17.

The dramatic footage, obtained by The Daily Telegraph, shows a shirtless Clark being yelled at and slapped by his furious girlfriend as others in the group, including Stefanovic and famed accountant Anthony Bell, try to defuse the fight.

The viral video of the Noosa incident shows Yarbrough accusing Clark of sleeping with Edwards on December 17, and texting her to say she is the “love of his life.”

All hell breaks loose while Clark, Stefanovic, and the Yarbrough sisters are having dinner at a beachfront restaurant in Noosa with Bill.

The slight overshoot in the ratings race may have resulted from the events of the Noosa brawl that Karl Stefanovic had with Michael Clarke.

The video begins with Yarbrough yelling at Clarke before she slaps him across the face and shoves him away after the cricketer insists he did not cheat on her.

At one point, Stefanovic’s wife Jasmine eventually steps in and grabs her distressed sister’s arm and pulls her away.

Jasmine can be heard saying, “Get away from Carl, get away from Carl.”

As she is being led away, Yarbrough can be heard sobbing as she turns to Clark and howls: “I, the King, hate you.”

Clark then attempts to pursue Yarbrough before unleashing a wave of rage at Stefanovic, apparently because he is drifting away with the sisters.

“Carlos, I can tell you right now j**t, can’t you get away with it. “She can, she can punch me, but you, you, you,” Clark says.

According to reports, Stefanovic’s decades-long friendship with Clarke is rumored to be over.

The Today show host is ‘over with’ the sports star, with sources telling New Idea that ‘Michael sent text messages to Karl and one to Jade’s parents.

“So far, they have fallen on deaf ears.”

The source added that Stefanovic “doesn’t forgive easily.”

They said, “Carl tells Jade that while Michael’s ex Babe Edwards is still in his life, things can’t end well.”

“Carl wants Jade to cut her losses, meet someone else, and let Michael learn his lesson the hard way.”
