Harrisburg, Pennsylvania (WHTM) — Chinese New Year kicked off Sunday, a fifteen-day festival that celebrates the start of a new lunar cycle.

The Chinese Cultural and Art Institute celebrates the Lunar New Year as a social and economic holiday for many throughout the central state.

This year is the Year of the Rabbit, meaning the year of hope and balance, says Chino Tsui, founder of the China Institute of Culture and Arts.
