Finn Wolfhard praises Weird things He co-starred with Noah Schnapp after his public appearance

A few weeks ago, actor Noah Schnapp took to TikTok to publicly announce that he is gay. Six months ago, Schnapp also confirmed that his file Weird things The character, Will Byers, was also gay. His exit was met with a lot of support from friends and colleagues, and now fans have found a deeper connection with his character.

In a recent interview with IndieWireColleague Weird things Costarinn Wolfhard touched on Schnapp’s appearance and told a strong storyline about Will’s unrequited love for Wolfhard’s character, Mike, on the show.

“I’m so proud of Noah that he came out this way,” he said. “I think it was incredible and brave.”

Referring to Will and Mike’s storyline, which included a meme-worthy heartbreaking scene in Season 4 when Will tells Mike how important he is, Wolfhard said, “As far as Mike and Will’s relationship goes, I always found it kind of funny, especially last season of Mike being so clueless.” I imagine Mike would totally accept Will, and I really want Will to have a really happy ending.”

Weird things It’s set to wrap up after its fifth season, which will let viewers know if such a happy ending is really in the cards, not just for Will, but for anyone.

“What will be so cool about Season 5 is that the Duffers are kind of trying to thread that needle of trying to get a perfect ending for each character. So I’m excited to see what happens in the finale.”

The last season of Weird things It is scheduled for a 2024 release.
