Changes coming to the former Susquehanna Ale House in downtown Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania (WHTM) — A new nightclub, Nocturnal, is set to open in the coming weeks and will be held in the former Home of Susquehanna Ale building.

The new night club is owned and operated by Craig Dunkle & Justin Browning, who have been renovating the multi-story Susquehanna Ale House since January 6 of this year. According to Browning, the necessary renovations to the 12,000-square-foot space did not require a contractor.

The nightclub was designed to be a “fairly upscale club environment”, which would provide cocktail drink options and bottle services to the customers in attendance. According to Browning, from night to night they will be presenting a variety of “upbeat live bands” and various DJ’ing events – creating an expansive environment for dancing and fun.

“Our overall goal is to encourage fun and exciting experiences every weekend in a safe environment for all walks of life to dance and have fun under one roof,” Browning said via email.

The owners went on to say how their main goal in opening the new nightclub is to help revive nightlife in downtown Harrisburg. According to Browning, the multi-storey nightclub will be able to host approximately 300 people on each floor of the new Nocturnal.
