Rozzi announces Pittsburgh as the first stop on his listening tour

Harrisburg, Pennsylvania (WHTM) — House Speaker Mark Rousey has announced the first of several round hearings scheduled for Sunday, January 22.

The first leg of the tour will be at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25, at Simmons Hall at Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business, located in Pittsburgh.

Rosie will be joined by members of the Bipartisan Speakers’ Working Group to Move Pennsylvaniaorward. This group is made up of six members of the House of Representatives who met to set bipartisan business rules for the House of Representatives, in addition to breaking the partisan deadlock.

Onriday, Rousey announced he would embark on a statewide listening tour amid a stalemate at the statehouse. Rosie says the goal of his listening tour will be “to address partisan gridlock and bring justice to survivors of child sexual abuse.”

Since being sworn in as speaker, Rousey has not held any public press conferences and has faced calls to step down.

Details of the other locations on the listening tour that you will visit are not immediately provided by the Speaker’s Office.
