The series follows the earnest and optimistic American soccer coach Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis), who moves to England to coach a British soccer team despite knowing little about soccer and not realizing that the team’s owner is not initially striving for his own success.
In the newly released Apple image, Ted looks like his usual cheery self as he goes head-to-head with Coach Nate theormerly Great (Nick Mohammed), who seems just as unhappy with Ted as he was in Season 2. Scheme Ex-AFC Richmond owner Robert (Anthony Head), who now owns Richmond rivals West Ham United, hovers in the background in black, channeling a villain fit for Bond.
Ted Lasso debuted on Apple’s subscription service in August 2020 and quickly became a hit among viewers who took in his quirky characters and hopeful messages about the power of vulnerability and believing in yourself. The award-winning show is funny yet often poignant. She isn’t afraid to tackle dark topics like suicide and parental abuse.
