It is the latter that has been warned again for this evening, Thursday, and tomorrow morning, as the Met Office states that the icing will cause ‘some difficult travel conditions’.
The warning will go into effect from 5 p.m. this evening, and will remain in effect until 10 a.m. tomorrow.
The alert states that icy spots will develop on some untreated roads, sidewalks and bike paths, posing a risk of injury from slips and falls.
A Met Office spokesperson said: “The winter showers will gradually fade into Thursday night.
“With clear skies, roofs are expected to drop below freezing, causing ice to form on untreated roofs.”
