Changes coming to Hersheypark in 2023

Hershey, Pennsylvania (WHTM) —or its 117th season, Hersheypark has made some changes and additions in 2023. Some big, some small, but all the changes coming are pretty awesome!

The first major change to the park concerns a re-imagining of the former Wildcat roller coaster. The coaster, which closed in 2022, is undergoing a complete redesign and adding elements never before seen at Hersheypark.

The ship is now called Wildcat’s revenge It will have a hybrid design. The hybrid design features a steel track on top of the already existing wood structure. The coaster will also feature four turns and a 140-foot drop at an 82-degree angle. The attraction is scheduled to open in the summer of 2023.

Another change is more visual. New light beams have been installed on several rides throughout the park. The Lightning Racer, sooperdooperLooper, and the famous fan on theerris wheel are all decked out in breathtaking new lights to see the sunset.

The lights on the former Candymonium and Carrousel Pavillion were designed and installed by Pennsylvania-based Illuminated Integration, located in Harrisburg.

Some new restaurants are making their way to the park for 2023.

The Chocolatier offers seasonal menu offerings that change throughout the year. Click here to see Latest menu options.

Also at Chocolatier, a fresh martini has made its way into the restaurant. This ride includes three different martinis:

  • Hershey’s chocolate topped orange martini
  • Raspberry Martini Hershey’s topped with chocolate
  • Banana martini covered in chocolate from Hershey’s

The trip is available startingriday, January 20.
