A CAFÉ and wine bar is set to open its doors on George Street next week, bringing another act to downtown St Helens.

Announcing the news via theiracebook page, the business called Little George Quarter, which is located in the former Bento Box Noodle venue on George Street, announced that it will open on January 26th.

He said: “Little George Quarter is a high class and welcoming new micro wine café which is yet another addition to the expanding W Heckler Enterprises Limited vessel.

“LGQ as it is abbreviated is located within the ‘George Street neighborhood’ and is situated close to what is soon to become the St Helens city center regeneration area.

“This new, high-class wine café is also close to both St Helens central bus and train stations, and also within walking distance of St Helens Theater Royal and Totally Wicked Stadium, home of St Helens RLFC.”

The venue said it would be “beautifully designed”.

The plan is for it to be open from early morning until late evening, serving breakfast, snacks, snacks and afternoon tea or coffee, along with a range of fine wines, spirits and beers.

It will be another addition to the George Street area, which has places including La Casa Vieja, Paporse, Olive Green and Royal Alfred.
