The “Soldiers Help Troops” event held in the center of the state

DAUPHINE COUNTY, Pennsylvania (WHTM) — Troopers of the Auxiliaryorces were taken into custody in Dauphin and Lebanon counties Saturday.

The Pennsylvania State Police, along with other state, local and federal agencies, hit the ice at Hersheypark and Klick Lewis Arenas. Troops Aiding Soldiers has raised money for active or retired law enforcement, their families, and support staff in their time of need.

“(If they have) problems where they may need money to offset the costs of health care, medical devices, and medical treatment. We’ve paid members who lost their homes in the fires,” said Colette Smith, vice president of Soldier Assistance at Soldier Assistance.

He also pays for funerals in the line of duty. Sunday event continues on the squares. Last year’s tournament raised about $20,000.
