ormer Saints prop Nickuzzard broke the bad news he received from his brain specialists last week.
The powerful front rower, who had two stints at Saints from 2004-2008 and in 2010, has never evaded a straight carry on a long drive in the toughest park situation.
uzzard, 45, played for Leeds, Huddersfield, Warrington, Saints, Hull KR, Castleford and Dewsbury before retiring in 2012.
But this appears to have come at a cost, and the Yorkshireman tweeted twice on his condition yesterday.
His first tweet read: “Hi everyone. Just had a bit of bad news this past week. I’m fine so please don’t worry but I thought I’d share this.
“One thing to remember – if rugby league wasn’t the most brutal team sport on earth – I wouldn’t be playing it.
“What a life I’ve had in rugby league.”
uzzard, who is known as an in-game character and popular with players and fans alike, then sent out a follow-up tweet later in the day.

uzzard, who has taken one cap for Great Britain and was on the last Saints team to win the World Club Challenge against Brisbane, had a very distinctive running style.
He hit the ball powerfully with a very upright running style – often holding off larger opponents for collision wins.
