The annual Iceestival returns to York City
NEW YORK, PA (WHTM) — The annual ice festival, estiveICE, is back in York on Saturday, January 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event was a free community celebration that filled Cherry Lane in downtown New York with music, family fun, and ice carved into amazing sculptures.
There have been appearances by Ice Princess Elsa, her sister Anna and the York Revolution mascot in Central City.
“This is in such a perfect location in the center of York. It’s easy to get to the downtown New York City community, but also these rail trail communities. We have one of the most diverse festivals, and I think it’s probably the most fun ice festival and you’ll really notice people coming out and really noticing the tradition that we’ve built,” York Revolution director of marketing and communications Doug Appler said.
This year’s edition of the Iceestival saw the return of Cherry Lane’s famous 40-foot ice slide for kids and those who are kids at heart!
