A Pennsylvania man who allegedly threatened to shoot first responders has been charged

Berks County, Pennsylvania (WHTM) — A 34-year-old Berks County man was arrested for aggravated assault on Oct. 7, 2022, in Spring Township, Berks County after police said he threatened to shoot a group of first responders.

First responders were dispatched to the 200 block in Chapel Hill at approximately 3:19 p.m. based on an EMS call of a woman who reportedly fell down some steps.

When EMS teams arrived on the scene, a man allegedly threatened to shoot everyone.

Spring Township police officers arrived and arrestedrank Smith for aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct.

Smith was arraigned January 11, 2023, and a hearing is scheduled for March 21.
