A firefighter is injured after a home fire in York County

DELTA, Pennsylvania (WHTM) — A firefighter was injured after fighting a home fire in Delta, York County onriday, January 13.

according to Cardiff Delta Volunteerire CompanyThe crew was alerted to the fire around 7:45 p.m. The caller told the dispatch that their neighbor’s house was on fire, and it didn’t appear that anyone was home.

When the crews arrived they found a heavy fire coming out of the roof, and a second alert was called. One firefighter was injured and was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

A family of four has been displaced and is currently being assisted by the American Red Cross.

No other injuries were reported, however two dogs died in the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Pennsylvania State Policeire Marshal at this time.
