A car was pulled over in St Helens this week for being in a “serious condition”.

Onriday 13 January, the Merseyside Police Road Police Unit announced that a Vauxhall Astra had been stopped by the St Helens cycling syndicate.

The Astra was found to have failed an MOT in November 2021, with its owner not having retested the car since.

The vehicles were also unlocked in November 2021 the car was seized by the police and banned from the roads.

It is illegal and unsafe to drive a car without a valid MOT certificate and offenders can be fined up to £1,000.
