Watch: Welsh players leave for Qatar to participate in the first World Cup since 1958 ootball and sports

It’s almost up – Wales are in their first World Cup campaign since 1958.

They have entered the qualifying rounds for every tournament since 1950, but this will be the second time they have reached the tournament.

As fate would have it, they were drawn into the same draw as arch-rivals England in the group stage alongside the United States and Iran, and Wales would struggle to get further than they have managed for over 60 years.

Watch here as the team trains in front of 2,000 fans in Cardiff before departing for Qatar ahead of the tournament.
