Greta Vanleet, singer Josh Kiszka, tears off an ear, the band postpones concerts
Greta Vanleet had to postpone three of her shows as vocalist Josh Kiszka suffered a ruptured eardrum. The singer ruptured his eardrum during the band’s concert in Bangor, Maine, on October 8.
The band has now announced that their concerts are in Raleigh, Greenville and Jacksonville, which were supposed to take place this week, will have to be rescheduled. Greta Vanleet is still working on dates and will announce the new schedule soon. Read on to learn more about the development.
Josh Kiska rips his stomach during concert
Josh issued a statement on the band’s social networking pages, announcing his illness and their decision to postpone upcoming concerts. “For our fans in Raleigh, Greenville and Jacksonville, it’s sad that we have to reschedule our shows this coming week,” the statement read.

“During our last show at Bangor, his eardrum ruptured and after further evaluation, I have just been told that he needs more time to fully heal than initially anticipated. I am working closely with my team to ensure I get proper rest in order to finish We are working on rescheduling these shows and will announce the new dates as soon as possible.”
Fans will have the option to refund
Josh added that those fans who want to attend the concerts on the rescheduled dates can keep the tickets. Others will be refunded once the new dates are announced. “If you still want to attend the show on the new date, simply hold on to your ticket and it will be valid. If you want a refund, it will be available at the point of purchase as soon as the new dates are announced,” Josh wrote.
The singer further expressed how moved he was by the announcement, writing, “I am devastated to do this and can’t begin to express how much I appreciate the love and support you give us every night. It’s sad to be making this announcement, but I know it’s essential to keep performing.”

Greta Vanleet is on tour to support their second album
The band is currently on tour in support of their second album. The battle at the garden gateWhich was released last year was widely acclaimed. The album topped multiple charts, reaching #1 on Billboard Rock Album, #1 on Billboard Hard Rock Album, #1 on Billboard Vinyl Album, #2 on Billboard Top Album Sales, and among the Top 10 albums on the Billboard 200.
The tour began in March of this year with a concert at the Wings Event Center in Kalamazoo. Greta Van Vliet, which features the Kiszka brothers: Josh, Jake and Sam, along with drummer Danny Wagner, will perform at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood,lorida, on October 25.
