R&B singer Ginuwine lost consciousness while trying to perform a magic trick with magician and con artist Criss Angel. The 51-year-old singer was rehearsing an underwater stunt for The CW star magic Earlier this week when he passed out.
Genwin, whose real name is Elgin Baylor Lumpkin, was carried unconscious from the scene. He is now fully recovered and is said to be fine. Read on to find out more about the incident.
Genuine goes out during an underwater magic trick
The Toxic pony The singer volunteered to do an underwater stunt for Criss Angel’s star magic Show in Las Vegas. Genuine immersed himself in a cube filled with water and tried to hold his breath, wanting to overcome his fear of water.
A video clip appeared on the Internet showing the singer surrounded by a water tank. Then he was seen in a panic, and the crew members quickly opened the tank to get him out. Then they asked him if he was okay, and the singer nodded before finally fainting.
A source revealed that an ambulance was called immediately, and Genwen was taken unconscious. The singer is now fully recovered. Despite the incident, Ginuwine continued to perform on the show, earning acclaim from fans.
An eyewitness shared the details of the accident
A source has now shared the full details of the incident, saying, “It all happened so quickly, it was like he was being taken advantage of in a fight. On the show, he was trying to get over his fear of being underwater, because he couldn’t hold his breath for longer than 15. seconds before trying the trick.”
The source added, “Even though he failed rehearsals, he still went ahead with the stunt on the show and everyone was crying.” The Ginuwine representative shared his health update and said, “Ginuwine is doing well and has made a full recovery. He has been conquering fear.ortunately, everything is fine as he has been working with Criss Angel, the best in the business.”
Meanwhile, Chris shared a teaser for star magic On his Instagram handle, which Ginuwine captioned, “My friends 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌.” It is not yet clear whether he made the comment before or after the incident.
Criss Angel also had a similar incident a few years ago
Magician Criss Angel also had a similar accident and died during a stunt in 2017. He was trying to escape from an upside-down jacket, but lost consciousness and had to be rushed to the hospital.
