The former congresswoman gained prominence after serving as a US representative for Hawaii’s second district from 2013 to 2021.
She endorsed Joe Biden after dropping out of her Presidential campaign in 2020. However, she has been publicly critical of the POTUS since.
Here’s a look at the meaning of the phrase ‘elicit cabal’.
MEANING OF ‘ELITIST CABAL’
Cabal simply refers to a group of secret plotters against a government or a person in authority, according to Dictionary.com.
Britannica notes that the term was first used in England in the 17th century to describe any “secret or extralegal council of the king”.
The term is formed using the initials of five ministers chosen by King Charles II – Clifford, Arlington, Buckingham, Ashley Cooper, and Lauderdale.
Meanwhile, the term ‘elitist’ refers to anybody who is biased towards the rich and enlightened and favors the same.
