Elon Musk has ventured into the fragrance business as the Tesla CEO recently unveiled his new ‘Burnt Hair’ perfume to his fans. Taking it one step ahead Elon, also changed his Twitter bio to ‘Perfume Salesman.’ While it must all seem like a joke to the unversed internet users, it is, in fact, true. Elon announced his new perfume a few days ago on Twitter.urthermore, he recently informed his followers that he had already sold over 5,000 bottles of his fragrance.

Elon’s new perfume is being sold through The Boring Company.
The infrastructure and tunnel construction company was founded in 2016. But, the product that propelled it to mainstream fame is the Not-A-Flamethrower.
“It’s just a roofing torch with an air rifle cover, it’s not a real flamethrower,” Elon told Joe Rogan in 2018.
Now, The Boring Company is selling Elon’s first-ever fragrance, the Burnt Hair perfume, for $100 per bottle. The cost includes tax and domestic shipping prices.
Talking about his new perfume on Twitter, Elon hilariously wrote: “With a name like mine, getting into the fragrance business was inevitable – why did I even fight it for so long!”
He also called the product – “The finest fragrance on Earth!”
The billionaire further noted that his fans can purchase the product with the cryptocurrency Dogecoin as well.

Another tweeted: “How did this man release a perfume that wasn’t called “Elon Musk”” “I’m glad to see you have transcended your title of Rocket Engineer to Perfume Salesman,” joked another.

While Tesla and Space X remain Elon’s core businesses, he also has additional ongoing ventures.
He is the CEO of SolarCity. The company was founded in 2006 by Elon’s cousins, Lyndon and Peter Rive. Business Insider notes that the billionaire injected $10 million into the business.
He also founded Neuralink in 2016 with Max Hodak and Paul Merolla. In the same year, he founded The Boring Company.
