Hair stylist arraigned for allegedly defrauding customer!
Hairstylist Chijiyuki Isumchi, 23, was arrested Tuesday at the Dei-Dei Grade I District Court in Abuja, for allegedly defrauding his client.
The police have charged Isomchi, who lives in Guarinpa, Abuja, with the crime of breach of trust.
Prosecutor’s attorney, Chinedu Ogada, told the court that on September 30, the plaintiff, Ikweli Obyanulu, of Marcos Polly Galadima Guarinpa District No. 26, in Abuja, reported the matter at Guarinpa Police Station.
Ogada said that on April 22 the complainant gave the accused seven human hair extensions to process and apply the dye.
He said the defendant charged the complainant with N20,000 and paid him N10,000 as down payment.
He told the court that out of seven human extensions, the defendant returned only one hair and was unable to produce the remaining six.
He said that the violation contravenes the provisions of Articles 312 and 322 of the Penal Code.
However, the defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The judge, Suleiman first, admitted the defendant to release him on bail of N200,000 with one guarantee in the same amount.
Ola ordered that the guarantee must be within the jurisdiction of the court and must provide reliable means of identification.
He adjourned the case until December 20 for a hearing.
