The Devil is a Part-Timer Season 2 Episode 11 recap

After planning everything, Rika is happy that the day has finally arrived to meet Alciel. Hence, she leaves no stone unturned to look beautiful just for him. Unfortunately, when they finally meet, she is disappointed that Alsiel came with Suzune and Maou, and sad that she didn’t expect this to happen.

But before they go shopping for a TV set, the four friends stop at a popular restaurant that serves cheap but quality food. They all order Kake udon and eat together. Suzune is especially impressed with the food there and claims that there is literally nothing to complain about. While Maou is discussing her budget with Rika, a rude customer catches everyone’s attention.

Maou doesn’t want to let him sit down and talk rudely to the girl at the counter, so she intervenes and lectures him on manners. Surprisingly, the customer is quite friendly afterwards. Later, outside the store, he talks to a friend on the phone about an unknown plan. Meanwhile, Maou and the others go to the hall to find a suitable TV for themselves.

While Alsiel and Suzune are watching TVs there, Maou asks Rika if she has a crush on her friend. Rika is so embarrassed that she can hardly say anything. Maou then discusses the same with Suzune, who is pretty mad. He claims that they have no way of attracting more people into their lives.

They’ve already told Chiho all about them, and Rika’s involvement might be a bit dangerous in the long run. But Maou disagrees with him. Meanwhile, Emi accidentally runs into Chiho’s mother and learns that her friend has been hospitalized.

The Devil is a Part-Timer Season 2 Episode 11 Finale: How Chiho Gets Poisoned by Magical Powers Who is Raguel?

When news of Chiho’s condition finally reaches everyone, Maou and his friends immediately rush to the hospital where she is admitted. Before they see her, Emi tells them that Chiho has been poisoned with extremely high magical powers. They visit Chiho’s room shortly after and are very disturbed to find her lying unconscious. When Chiho’s mother isn’t around, they all gather around and discuss the current situation.

Suzune reveals that she used the holy water to see how Chiho’s body would react, and assures her that it will eventually cause the spell to neutralize, meaning she will be fine. However, Maou and the others are still unsure of how he became poisoned and capable of using magical powers in the first place. Suzune claims that she was most likely struck by the holy spirit sonar that transformed her life energy into magical powers.

As they have this discussion, the TV screens explode once again and they all rush to Chiho’s side to keep her safe. Urushihara finally arrives at the hospital and reveals that the sonar was indeed released by the Watcher via TV signals. He further explains that Gabriel came to their house in their absence and it was revealed that he was no longer looking for the yesod fragments, but was now in charge of the Great Elder Agabadi Satan’s Legacy.

Urushihara claims that the Watcher is actually Gabriel’s replacement. When Suzune asks if he is Raguel, the Keeper responsible for overseeing all the activities of the angels – Urushihara answers in the affirmative. However, he clarifies that Raguel is not an angel of special rank, but is instead entrusted with a critical authority called the Declaration of the Fallen. This means that he not only controls the other angels, but also decides what kind of punishment is given to them.

Although the sonar was released throughout the city, it affected Chiho the most because her house was previously the site of a sonar blast. When Alsiel questions the possible motives behind Raguel’s actions, Amy claims that she is not looking for the Overlord, the Yesod fragments, or her better half. In fact, her mother believes that Leyla is after her.

Unfortunately, before they can discuss anything further, Chiho’s mother returns to the hospital to see her again. Afterwards, Maou and his friends decide to regroup and find Raguel before doing anything else. Meanwhile, when Chiho is alone, Lailah visits her and gives her a ring. He believes that Chiho is the one who holds Mau’s group together, so her well-being is very important. In all this drama, Maou and his friends didn’t realize that the person they met at the restaurant earlier that day was actually the Watcher himself.
