Urging parents to “resist” pedophilia,” Tucker Carlson came under fire online after old clips of a Fox News character appeared downplaying two incidents in which female teachers molested teenage students.
Two left-leaning Twitter accounts on Thursday posted clips of appearances in which Carlson downplayed two high-profile sexual contact stories between teachers and underage students. The clips resurfaced days after Carlson denounced what he called overt sexual harassment of children, which critics said encourages violence against the LGBT community and teachers.
The Serfs, a news commentary podcast, posted on Twitter a partial transcript of Carlson’s April 2006 appearance on Bubba the Love Sponge Show, Florida-based radio show. During the hilarious exchange, the two discussed a case in Delaware in which a teacher was accused of having sex with a 13-year-old student 28 times in one week.
ChudsOfTikTok, a Twitter account often critical of conservatives, posted a link to an audio recording of the interview.
“When a boy is 35, he can hardly remember the girls he slept with when he was 13,” Carlson said during the broadcast.
Carlson later added, “So my point is that teachers are like this, not necessarily this particular teacher, but they serve all 13-year-old girls by relieving the pressure. They are a pressure relief valve, like the kind you have on your oven.”
The following year, elementary school science teacher, Rachel L. Holt was sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to second-degree rape.
ChudsOfTikTok also posted a 2014 Fox News segment video where Carlson defended a teacher who gave a lap dance to a 15-year-old boy in front of his class.
Saying “legitimate splits of opinion” whether the lap dance was appropriate, Carlson shocked other Fox News panelists by saying, “There’s no victim here,” adding, “This is a 15-year-old’s dream.”
On Tuesday, Carlson showed a clip on Fox News criticizing a transgender teacher, showing her wearing large breast implants, and discussing LGBT issues with her students. The broadcast also targeted health care workers who provide gender affirmation surgeries to transgender people and who have been harassed.
“What you see is a society that hates children,” Carlson said. “You have to hate children in order to sexualize them.”
He added: “Sexualization of children spoils them for a lifetime – ask anyone who has had it – a period. No one should put up with this.”
Tucker Carlson, who is currently pushing for ‘protecting children’ by targeting children’s hospitals with harassment and bomb threats, saying teachers who sleep with their students ‘do a favor’ for us, Twitter user Asmodean one reaction of exposed sections.
Jordan Chariton, chief executive of progressive media group Status Coup, responded with a tweet saying, “Tucker Carlson is a proponent of personal care,” referring to a term used by conservatives to accuse opponents of pedophilia.
