A lot of TikTok stars, including celebrities, are now starting to follow the trend and create their own versions of “One Thing About Me”. But what exactly is the trend, and how did it originate? Read on to find out.
The ‘One Thing About Me’ trend returns with Super Freaky Girl
Following this trend, users create a video in which they share a unique and entertaining fact or story about. At one point in the song, Nikki’s lyrics read, “One thing about me, I am the worst person alive.” Creators now use this as a catalyst to follow the trend, and instead of citing “I am the worst person alive,” they share their stories or facts.
The creator shares his unique facts with the videos
According to this trend, TikToker Elyza Halpern, who uses the username Tweet embed, she created a video and shared her wild story saying, “One of the things about me is that when I was 10, this kid in my class used to stick my cheeks and my butt together.” She captioned the video, “I love this trend, please keep telling me about your horrific childhood via Super Freaky Girl.”

If you also want to make a video that follows the trend, just think of a funny or reliable story or fact about yourself that you want to tell. Then make a selfie video with Super Freaky Girl playing in the background and lip-sync with “One Thing About Me”. Then follow the words with your own story. Create the video and hit the share button.
While the trend gained huge popularity in April of this year, the first “One Thing About Me” was created in January 2021 by user @bugeater1101. They created the video with light jazz playing in the background and inadvertently started a trend that gained momentum a year later.
