How did Jeffrey Dahmer kill Stephen Hicks?

Stephen Hicks was 18 years old and had just graduated from Coventry High School at the time of the murder. People who knew him described him as a kind and compassionate person who loved to help others and was always open to making new friends. Moreover, he was quite sensitive when it came to violence and avoided hurting others, be it another human or animal. In the summer of 1978, Jeffrey Dahmer was enjoying life as he had just graduated high school and was out of town with his parents, with a house all to himself. So on June 18, 1978, while driving, Jeffrey saw a hitchhiker standing on the side of the road asking for a lift from a passing car. Jeffrey wasted no time approaching a man who introduced himself as Stephen Hicks and claimed to be attending a concert in Chippewa Lake Park, Ohio. Realizing that he could easily manipulate Hicks, Jeffrey tempted the hitchhiker with a beer and convinced him to get in the car and accompany him home.

Once at Jeffrey’s house, he and Hicks started talking and listening to music while drinking beer. Reports He claimed that Jeffrey could have had sex with Hicks, but when the latter started talking about girls, the serial killer realized that he had no chance. Gradually, Jeffrey’s behavior became quite disturbing, and soon Hicks asked him to take him to the concert, as he had promised. But Jeffrey, not wanting to let the boy go, hit Hicks twice on the head with a 10-pound dumbbell, which knocked the victim unconscious. The serial killer then proceeded to strangle Hicks to death before stripping him.

Was Stephen Hicks’ body ever found?

Unfortunately, the body of Stephen Hicks has not been found to this day because Jeffrey carefully disposed of his remains. After killing Stephen Hicks, Jeffrey dragged his victim to the basement where he dismembered his body before dismembering it. Afterwards, Jeffrey took the pieces and buried them in a grave in his backyard before continuing to clear the murder scene of any evidence. However, Geoffrey was still not satisfied with the way the body had been disposed of, so a few days later he dug up the remains and carefully separated the flesh from the bones. The flesh was then dissolved in acid as he ground the bones to powder and dumped the remains in a wooded area near his home. Moreover, the acid used to dissolve Hicks’ flesh was flushed down the toilet.

In the years since Hicks’ disappearance and murder, his family hired a private detective and even helped the police as much as they could, but to no avail. Hicks’ remains were never found, and Jeffrey was charged with her murder in 1991 after he confessed to it after his arrest.
