Madhavan says his son-in-law was ‘panicked’ when he sent him this picture from the Rocketry collections

Actor R Madhavan revealed, Wednesday, that he played a prank on his brother-in-law by sending a photo of himself meeting Nambi Narayanan hugging his wife Sarita. In a social media post, Madhavan stated that his son-in-law was “horrified” by the photo.

Sharing the photo on Twitter, Madhavan wrote, “My brother was amazed when I sent him this picture of my wife.”

For Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, Madhavan underwent extensive makeup and even altered his facial features to achieve the look of 79-year-old former ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan. In a behind-the-scenes video, Madhavan spoke about the challenges he faced as he transformed into Narayanan.

“The script was written in such a way that a requirement to be as close as possible to the real Master Nambi was obligatory. It was literally rocket science how the entire team planned the appearance from a 29-year-old to a 79-year-old. It was a maneuver of gaze between our adult schedule. 43 days is one of our greatest accomplishments. The actor said in the video “You’ll see in the movie how smooth the look transition is that you won’t even realize how and when the look has changed.”

Rocketry: The Nambi Effect tells the story of Nambi Narayanan, a former scientist and flight engineer for the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). In 1994, Narayanan was accused of leaking defense secrets. He spent 50 days in prison. The scientist was later acquitted by the CBI Court and then the Supreme Court in 1998.

The Rocketry missile will be launched in India on July 1 in Tamil, Hindi and English. It has also been dubbed into Telugu and Kannada.
